Dr. Philip Goldthwait was born in Hartford, CT. After graduating high school in CT, he attended Bates College in Lewiston, ME and graduated with a BS in Chemistry in 1982. He continued his education at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA where he graduated with honors in 1988. After completing his fellowship/residency in 1989, he began practicing optometry in Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. Goldthwait returned to Maine in 1996 and currently practices in Bangor as the owner of Goldthwait Vision Care at 11 Bangor Mall Blvd. He has been providing exceptional eye care to the people of Maine for over 25 years.

Dr. Goldthwait and the staff of Goldthwait Vision Care are committed to offering the highest standard of eye care and eye wear to their patients.

Misha was born in San Antonio, TX into an Air Force family. After graduating high school in Schertz, TX, she attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX; and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014. She then moved to Bangor, ME in December of 2015 and started her career working for Dr. Goldthwait in January of 2016 as an optician’s apprentice at Mainely Eyes. She developed a curiosity for learning about ocular health & optometry; and joined Goldthwait Vision Care in September of 2017 as an optometric technician. Misha earned her Certified Paraoptometric certification in October of 2018. In February of 2022, she became Goldthwait Vision Care’s office manager.
